~ Hi Dustin, I am a friend of your mom. My daughter, Amanda, died almost 4 years ago, when she was only 8 years old, from an illness she just woke up with one day. Up until that day, she was perfectly healthy. Up until then our lives were complete, happy and fulfilled. She'd have graduated 6th grade this year too, but I'm sure you know that because I have a feeling you two have met already ~ Please send your mom some angel hugs and angel kisses ~ she misses you more than you could possibly know ~ but, see, the thing is ... I do know how much she misses you. I do know what a true broken heart feels like. I do know what it feels like to wake up day after day with a hole in the heart. I do know what it takes to even just have the courage and the ability to walk out the front door day after day. You have an amazing mom. I know you are proud of her and all she continues to do day after day ~ just as she is so incredibley proud of you.
